Wall Decoration, Great Mosque of Córdoba
This stone wall decoration can be found on the south-west side of the interior of the Great Mosque. A lattice of pointed arches contains an organic five-pointed star design filled with carved decoration of swirls and biomorphic shapes. As this wall was quite ruinous, however, this work imagines a more pristine finishing, adding gold leaf to give a sumptuous look.
