By submitting this license, you grant to the American University and the Washington Research Library Consortium non-exclusive right to reproduce, translate (as defined below), and/or openly distribute your syllabus on the internet and retain a copy in electronic format.

You agree the AU and/or WRLC may, without changing the content, translate the syllabus to any medium or format for the purpose of preservation.

You represent that the syllabus is your original work and you have the right to grant the rights contained in this license. You also represent that your syllabus does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe upon anyone's copyright.

Your name will be clearly identified as the author of the syllabus, and no alteration will be made to your submission, other than as allowed by this license.

The American University Copyright Ownership Policy grants the University a non-exclusive, perpetual royalty-free license to use work created for ordinary teaching in the classroom (including but not limited to syllabi, tests, reading assignments, reading lists, course description) for educational, research, archival, or any other purpose consistent with the mission of the University. All copyright in said works remain with the faculty and use by a third party requires their permission.
